Relief For The Philippines

We are all familiar with the recent devastation that has taken place in the Philippines as a result of Typhoon Haiyan. Thousands of lives have been lost and many more have been displaced. We can only imagine the needs that exist and the difficulty in meeting those needs under the circumstances. Kit, Nora, Ben, Jul and Kyle have found that their family members are safe, but the need for assistance remains very great.

Nora Hill and her husband Mike have provided information regarding Jonathan and Sara Jennings, American missionaries working in Cebu, Philippines.  This missionary couple can guarantee that a hundred percent of every dollar donated will go to the relief effort.  If you would like to give to this cause, you can go to http://heartsafire.us/ for directions to donate. Some of you are already familiar with Matthew 25 Ministries which is also involved in the Philippine relief effort. To donate through Matthew 25 Ministries, go to http://m25m.org.

Hebrews 13:16

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Luke 6:38

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.

It’s understood that not everyone may be in a position at this time to contribute monetarily, but over and over again, those to whom I have talked have said that your prayers are as highly desired as your money.
